Set up Vipps Integrert Betaling

Tips on donate.chat go from the viewer straight to your company's own Vipps account. That runs on a Vipps product called Integrert Betaling. We never hold the money. You order it once in the Vipps portal, wait for approval, and paste four keys into your dashboard.

Before you start

• You need an organisation number. A sole proprietorship (ENK) is enough.
• Fill in your company details in the dashboard under Settings → Company and save them. Your public tip page shows your company name, organisation number and contact info, and Vipps looks at that page when they review your order.
• You need two links for the order form: your tip page and your sales terms. Both are on your dashboard under Settings → Vipps API, with copy buttons. They look like this, with your own name at the end:

The links use the Norwegian version of the site, because the Vipps order form and the generated sales terms are in Norwegian. Your sales terms are generated for you, so there's nothing to write.

The Vipps order form is in Norwegian. Below, each question is translated, and the answer to pick is quoted exactly as it appears in the form.

1. Start the order

Log in to portal.vipps.no, search for «Ta betalt på nett – Integrert betaling» and click «Bestill».

2. Set up the solution

1. Who will implement the solution? Pick «Jeg skal gjøre det selv, eller få hjelp av mine egne utviklere».
2. Where will you sell your products or services? Pick «På vår egen nettside».
3. Is your website live yet? Pick «Ja, den er live».
4. Link to your website: paste your tip page link.
5. Link to your sales terms: paste your sales terms link. Keep that link visible where viewers find you too, for example in a Twitch panel.

3. How you appear in the Vipps app

1. Name of the sales location: use your channel or streamer name. This is the name viewers see in Vipps when they tip you.
2. Logo: optional. Upload it now or later so viewers recognize you in Vipps.

4. Bank account and revenue

1. Account number: a bank account connected to your business. With a sole proprietorship you may use your personal account.
2. Estimated annual revenue: your total revenue per year in NOK, from all payment channels, not just Vipps. If it's hard to know, give your best guess.
3. How much of this comes from this Vipps sales location? A share in percent. For most streamers, Vipps tips are a smaller part of the total.

5. Services and products

1. Category: pick «Underholdning og fritidsaktiviteter», then «Fritidsaktiviteter (ikke klassifisert andre steder)».
2. Examples of services and products: paste «Ta i mot donasjoner for livestreaming, med tilhørende alerts på skjermen.»

6. Submit

Confirm Vipps' requirements for online stores and submit the form. Vipps usually handles it within a few days, but it can take up to about 4 weeks.

7. Paste your keys into donate.chat

Once Vipps approves the order, you'll find your keys in the Vipps portal:

1. Log in to portal.vipps.no and select Developer in the left panel. Your Merchant ID (MSN) is there.
2. Click Show keys under API keys to see your Client ID, Client Secret and Subscription Key.

Then open your dashboard:

1. Go to Settings → Vipps API.
2. Under Payment Gateway Type, pick Vipps (new).
3. Tick Enable this gateway.
4. Want viewers without Vipps to pay with a regular card? Also tick Enable Card Payments through Vipps.
5. Paste your Merchant ID, Client ID, Client Secret and Subscription Key. Subscription Key 2 is optional.
6. Click Save Vipps Settings.

That's it. Put your tip page link in chat and your panels, and tips go straight to your Vipps account.

Keep your Client Secret and Subscription Key private, like a password. Never paste them in chat or on stream.
