Connect StreamElements or Streamlabs

Already have alerts set up in StreamElements or Streamlabs? Keep them. Connect your account, and every tip on donate.chat is sent there with the viewer's name, amount and message, so your usual alert fires. It works on Twitch and YouTube.

Both are set up on the same page in your dashboard: Integrations. Changes only take effect after you click Save Settings.

Streamlabs

Streamlabs connects with a login, so there's nothing to copy.

1. In the dashboard, go to Integrations.
2. Click Connect StreamLabs Account and log in to Streamlabs when it asks.
3. You're sent back to donate.chat. Tick Enable StreamLabs Integration.
4. Click Save Settings.

If Streamlabs alerts stop working later, or you removed donate.chat's access on Streamlabs, click Reconnect StreamLabs.

StreamElements

StreamElements needs two values from your StreamElements account: your Account ID and your JWT token.

First, find them in StreamElements:

1. Log in to StreamElements.
2. Click your profile icon, select Owner, then Channel Settings.
3. Your Account ID is at the top of the page.
4. Scroll down to Your channels and click the copy icon next to the JWT token.

Then paste them into donate.chat:

1. In the dashboard, go to Integrations.
2. Tick Enable StreamElements Integration.
3. Paste your StreamElements Account ID and StreamElements JWT Token.
4. Click Save Settings.

Your JWT token gives access to your StreamElements account. Keep it private, like a password, and never show it on stream.

Send a test alert

Once an integration is turned on and saved, a Test Alert button shows up. Click it to send a test tip of 1 kr from "Test" with the message "This is a test alert from donate.chat". It should play as a normal alert in StreamElements or Streamlabs.

No alert? Check that your alert box is added to OBS in StreamElements or Streamlabs. For StreamElements, also check that the Account ID and JWT token are pasted in full.

Turning it off

Untick Enable StreamLabs Integration or Enable StreamElements Integration and click Save Settings. Tips stop going to that service right away.
